About the Journal

Journal of Social and Community Development is an international, peer-reviewed journal focused on social and community development's theory, practice, and policy aspects. JSCD publishes interdisciplinary research that explores the dynamics of social change and community empowerment. JSCD seeks to enhance community services, ensuring they are effective, inclusive, and sustainable, ultimately improving the quality of life for individuals and communities worldwide. By providing a platform for innovative studies and critical perspectives, JSCD contributes to the development of strategies and policies that support sustainable community growth and social justice. JSCD welcomes submissions from diverse fields including sociology, social work, public policy, and urban planning.

Article Processing Charge (APC) Policy Update

2025-04-17

Starting May 1, 2025, all accepted submissions will be subject to an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 15 / IDR 200,000. This applies to all manuscripts submitted on or after this date.

Partial or full waivers may be granted at the editor’s discretion for authors facing financial constraints, excessive manuscript length, or other valid reasons. Authors requesting a waiver must clearly state their request in the "Comments to the Editor" section during the submission. Waiver requests submitted after acceptance are unlikely to be considered.

Vol. 3 No. 02 (2026): Journal of Social and Community Development
