Publisher Transparency Statement
The Indonesian Institute of Science and Technology Research (IISTR) is a scholarly, non-profit publisher dedicated to advancing academic knowledge across various scientific disciplines. As an institution committed to ethical publishing practices, transparency, and the integrity of the editorial and peer-review process, IISTR adheres to high standards in its publishing operations.
1. Publisher Identity and Ownership
IISTR is fully owned and managed by CV. Sarana Intelektual Utama (AHU-0046486-AH.01.14 Th.2022 | NPWP: 60.268.031.6-541.000), based in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. The institute operates as an independent academic entity, free from affiliation with any commercial or political organizations. This ensures that all decisions related to the publication of journals are made with the primary focus on academic integrity and quality. All journals published under IISTR are operated and governed independently from external influence.
2. Governance and Editorial Independence
Each journal under IISTR is governed by an Editorial Board, consisting of academics and subject matter experts. Editors have full independence in the peer review and decision-making processes, ensuring that editorial decisions are based solely on scholarly merit. The publisher's staff does not interfere with editorial decisions or the outcomes of peer reviews. This structure is designed to uphold the integrity of the academic publishing process, ensuring that all content published is of the highest scholarly quality.
3. Management and Responsibilities
The management of each journal involves the following components:
-
Editorial Board: Responsible for making decisions regarding manuscripts, overseeing the peer review process, and ensuring the quality of the content.
-
Technical and Production Team: Handles website maintenance, article formatting, and online publication to ensure a seamless publication process.
-
Administrative Team: Manages submissions, communications, and coordination between authors, editors, and reviewers, ensuring efficient and transparent operations.
Each team plays an integral role in maintaining the high standards of the journal’s publishing practices.
4. Open Access and Author Support
IISTR follows an open access publishing model, providing immediate, worldwide access to all published articles without any charges to readers or their institutions. This ensures maximum exposure and impact of the research published in our journals. Additionally, we are committed to keeping Article Processing Charges (APCs) to a minimum in order to refrain from placing a financial burden on authors while still covering the necessary processing fees. Authors of high-quality, publishable articles who are unable to afford the APC may apply for a partial/full APC waiver. Our goal is to support the widest possible dissemination of academic research while maintaining a sustainable publishing model.
5. Journal Advertising Policy
At present, the journal does not publish any advertisements. This policy ensures that the focus remains entirely on scholarly content and academic integrity, without the influence of commercial interests.
6. Advertising Policy for External Parties
As an open access journal, we are committed to maintaining transparency, ethical standards, and editorial independence in all advertising practices. Advertisements must be relevant to engineering, technology, or scientific research, and their acceptance does not imply endorsement by the editorial board or publisher. All advertisements are subject to review and approval and must comply with applicable legal and ethical standards. They will be clearly marked and displayed separately from editorial content, ensuring they do not interfere with the reading experience. Sponsored content must be explicitly labeled as such and remain clearly distinct from peer-reviewed material. The journal does not allow advertisements that are misleading, harmful, or that promote unethical or illegal products, services, or practices. Advertisers will not have access to user or author data, and advertising will not influence editorial decisions. This policy is reviewed regularly to ensure alignment with best practices in open access engineering publishing.
7. Contact Information
We maintain open communication with authors, editors, and readers. For any inquiries related to editorial processes, journal policies, or ethical concerns, please feel free to contact us at admin@journal.iistr.org.
