Journal History
2022: In June, ESL was established and published only two issues (August and December). ESL has published 12 articles, 7 of which were published in its first issue, while the rest were published in the second issue. In its first year, ESL attracted 32 authors from 10 countries (Indonesia, Algeria, Malaysia, Nigeria, United Arab Emirates, Bangladesh, Peru, South Korea, Philippines, and Vietnam). Each published article has undergone the iThenticate plagiarism check and has a digital object identifier (DOI). ESL has been indexed in Crossref, Dimensions, Neliti, Google Scholar, ROAD, Indonesia OneSearch, BRIN/LIPI, and Portal Garuda. ESL has also established partnerships with JNEST and selected academic conferences to further promote high-quality research dissemination.
2023: In 2023, ESL published three regular issues in April, August, and December, featuring a total of 16 original research articles. These publications involved 57 authors from 13 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, France, Philippines, Ghana, Pakistan, Nigeria, Thailand, Cambodia, Japan, Peru, Vietnam, and Algeria. ESL continued to uphold rigorous editorial standards, including plagiarism screening via iThenticate and DOI assignment for each article. The journal further expanded its global visibility by being indexed in Index Copernicus International, Scilit, BASE, CORE, WorldCat, OpenAIRE, ASCI, and several other platforms.
2024: In 2024, ESL achieved a significant milestone by receiving its first national accreditation. The journal was officially accredited as SINTA 2 by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of Indonesia (Kemendikti Saintek). ESL sustained its triannual publication schedule, releasing issues in April, August, and December, and published a total of 21 original research articles. These articles were authored by 65 contributors from 8 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, Nigeria, Turkey, Czech Republic, Pakistan, and the Philippines. The journal’s growing international participation and enhanced visibility reflected its increasing reputation in the scholarly community. Building on this momentum, ESL began the process of applying for broader indexation, including submission to Scopus.
