Journal History

2022: In June, JPES was established and published only two issues (August and December). JPES has published 11 articles, 5 of which were published in its first issue, while the rest were published in the second issue. In its first year, JPES attracted 32 authors from three countries (Malaysia, Indonesia, and Pakistan). Each published article has undergone the iThenticate plagiarism check and has a digital object identifier (DOI). JPES has been indexed in Crossref, Dimensions, Neliti, Google Scholar, ROAD, Indonesia OneSearch, BRIN/LIPI, and Portal Garuda. JPES has also established partnerships with IJLREE and selected academic conferences to further promote high-quality research dissemination.

2023: In 2023, JPES maintained a regular publication schedule with three issues released in April, August, and December. Across these issues, 21 original research articles were published by 53 authors from 9 countries (Indonesia, Philippines, Pakistan, Malaysia, Nigeria, Thailand, Azerbaijan, India, and Saudi Arabia). The journal strengthened its international scope and continued improving its editorial and peer-review processes. The journal further expanded its global visibility by being indexed in Index Copernicus International, Scilit, BASE, WorldCat, OpenAIRE, ASCI, and several other platforms.

2024: In 2024, JPES achieved a significant milestone by receiving its first national accreditation. The journal was officially accredited as SINTA 2 by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology of Indonesia (Kemendikti Saintek). JPES published three regular issues in 2024—in April, August, and December—featuring 19 original research articles authored by 41 contributors from 8 countries (Indonesia, Philippines, Nigeria, Cameroon, Nepal, Turkey, China, and Morocco). The journal gained traction, especially from African and Asian academic communities, reflecting growing diversity in author contributions and research topics. Editorial quality was further emphasized through strict review and screening processes. Building on this momentum, JPES began the process of applying for broader indexation, including submission to Scopus.
