Abstract

The main problem in this study is that researchers want to reveal how the social studies teacher's barriers in online learning during the covid-19 pandemic. The purpose of this research is to find out the obstacles experienced by social studies teachers in the implementation of online learning and practical solutions in implementing online learning. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques in this study were observation, interviews and documentation. The results of this study are the first, namely an inadequate internet network during online learning. The second is the boredom and lazy attitude of students. Saturated and lazy are psychological conditions of students. Third, namely the ability of students to use learning applications. Fourth, ownership of internet data quota. Limitations in purchasing quotas.  The solution to the problem of online learning is by implementing limited face-to-face activities, which can be used to collect assignments for students who do not have a stable internet network. As a solution to the boredom of the lazy attitude of students. Social Studies teachers always provide the latest social studies material references, which are in accordance with the current phenomena. Social Studies teachers provide guidance and direction to students who have not mastered how to operate the application. The solution to the barriers to quota ownership is to take advantage of quota assistance from the government.

Yunifa Anisauzahro was born on Tulungagung, August 11, 1991. She earned a Bachelor of Education (S.Pd.) at BHINNEKA PGRI University in 2022. Currently working as a Teacher at MTs Darussalam. (email: yunifaanisa4@gmail.com).

Rahmad Bala, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Kupang

Rahmad Bala was born on Tereweng Island-Alor on October 21, 1986. He earned a Bachelor of Education (S.Pd.) at FKIP PGRI NTT University in 2015. Then a Master's degree (M.Pd.) at Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD), Yogyakarta in 2018. Currently, This student serves on the STAI Kupang campus. In addition, he is also one of the assessors at BAN-S/M Prov. NTT. (email: rahmadbala2110@gmail.com).

Muh. Amiruddin Salem, Sekolah Tinggi Agama Islam Kupang

Muh. Amiruddin Salem was born in Leuwohung, Lembata, 09 October 1989. He earned a Bachelor of Education (S.Pd.) at UIN Maliki Malang in 2013. Then a Master's degree (M.Pd.) at Kanjuruhan University Malang in 2015. Currently working as a Lecturer at the Kupang Islamic High School. In addition, as a tutor at the Open University. Islahuddin, Fatoni University

Islahuddin was born in Pati, Central Java on March 28, 1982. He graduated with Diploma III in Arabic Language (A.Md.) at Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta in 2005. In 2007 he finished his bachelor’s degree in Arabic Language and Literature (S.S.) at Ahmad Dahlan University (UAD), Yogyakarta. He graduated master’s degree in Literature (M.A.) from Gadjah Mada University (UGM), Yogyakarta in 2012. He has been teaching at Malay Department, Fatoni University (FTU), Thailand since 2016.
